Face Coverings continue to be required required in schools, child care, and day or overnight camps, since for the next few weeks, almost all children will be unvaccinated and able to spread COVID-19. Mass gathering limitations have also been lifted but mask continue to be encouraged in crowded settings. The CDC recommends in some settings where people congregate, including transportation and health care, people should continue to wear Face Coverings and socially distance. Vaccines have only recently between approved for children age twelve (12) to fifteen (15) and children under twelve have not been approved for a vaccine to date. Approximately 50% of North Carolina residents have been vaccinated and it is hopeful many more will follow suit. Those individuals who have not been vaccinated are encouraged to wear a mask in settings where social distancing is not possible. Some businesses will continue to require their employees and customers to wear a mask and this is acceptable. If you have not received a Covid-19 vaccine and would like one, visit the following website: myspot.nc.gov/ To obtain additional information on North Carolina and Covid-19, you can visit the following web site: covid19.ncdhhs.gov/ ...
