Women’s History Trail Sculpture Community Celebration Day

Beginning at 11:00 at the site “The Unveiling Ceremony” will feature speakers representing the diverse women portrayed in the Sowing the Seeds of the Future sculpture, Franklin Mayor Jack Horton, along with project leaders from the Folk Heritage Association of Macon County, members of the community and guest cultural speakers will present these elements:  Welcome, Invocation, Introductions, Reflections (remembering Barbara McRae), artist remarks by Sculptor Wesley Wofford, and Closing/Dedication.

Following the ceremony celebration, we invite you to join Wesley and Odyssey Wofford in the sculpture circle to learn more about this historic work of art.  Also, stroll in town to visit other sites along the trail, local businesses and other entertainment.
