Located in downtown Franklin North Carolina, offers Custom gem cutting and mounting, 14kt gold jewelry and findings, thousands of cut gemstones, lapidary equipment and supplies, mineral specimens, stone carvings and bookends and free Museum. Buses and RV’s welcome. School, church, and rockhound groups welcome! Hours of operation are: March 1st thru Jan 15th Tues – Sat 10 am to 5 pm Jan 16th thru Feb 28th Thur, Fri and Sat 10 am to 5 pm.
Hike through history at the Foxfire Museum. Out Appalachian Village is made up of over 20 historic log structures, each home to various artifacts representative of life in the mountains. Jim and Sandy have been collecting toys for over 60 years. The collection consists of a large selection of Studebaker cars, trucks and military equipment. Sandy’s collection of construction equipment numbers about 200 or so pieces. There is a sizable collection of other toys, dolls and doll accessories, pedal cars and other ride on toys.
