Franklin, NC is known as the gem mining capital of the world and it’s time once again for residents and visitors alike to get to experience the fruits of the gem mining labor. The 23rd Annual Leaf Lookers Gemboree is being held October 26-28th, 2012 at the Macon County Community Building on Hwy 441 in Franklin. The hours will be Friday & Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday 11am – 4pm. Admission is $2 adults and children 12 and under get in free.
There will be Rough & Cut Gems, Minerals, Fine Jewelry, Supplies, Beads & Door Prizes! The Annual Gemboree is always a great place to begin your Christmas Shopping! A special bonus is being offered this year to those attending: Included with your gem show entrance you will receive a free coupon for entrance into the 20th Annual Smoky Mountain Fall Art & Craft Fest at the Macon County Fairgrounds.
